the history of dead serious MMA

Dead Serious MMA was founded in 2011 by Frankie Sr & Lourdes Perez. Owning and operating an MMA promotion was never the plan for Frankie or Lourdes Perez. However, when their son Frankie Perez Jr took an interest in MMA and begin competing in 2008 they found themselves completely engulfed by the sport and started Dead Serious Fight Gear, a clothing company that sold MMA gear at all the local shows. After years of selling gear at the local shows and creating a brand following, the jump was made to lauch Dead Serious MMA Promotions and host their first show in October of 2011 at The Rahway Rec Cetner in Rahway NJ.

Within five years of their first show in 2011. Dead Serious Promotions grew to hosting over 50 shows and created a massive following and brand awareness including introducing two new leagues to the combat sport world, World Class Kickboxing Championship & Men of War Grappling.

In 2018, Frankie Sr & Lourdes Perez partnered with Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat, an MMA promotion that dates back to 2002 that has sent countless fighters to the UFC including UFC champions Matt Serra, Chris Weidman, and Frankie Edgar.

"Our goal is to take fighters to the next level. Dead Serious MMA now is a feeder program for Lou Negila's Ring of Combat and we are determined to get our fighters where they want to be and achieve their goals"
